We thought our questions would be a little daunting for the DJ to answer but lo and behold, he gave us some color with his answers!

How did it all start for you?

My passion for music started at a pretty early age when my mom forced me to attend a violoncello class. I was 3 years old. At 9 years old, I wanted to try something more energetic, and I started to play drums. It was fun! My Dj “career/hobby” began at the university when we organized university parties with some friends. My best friend was a DJ, and he pushed me to play with him teaching me how to mix.

What is your biggest inspiration?

Traveling and attending a lot of music events is for sure my biggest inspiration. Starting from London, I lived for 1 year and traveled worldwide, meeting many interesting people with different musical backgrounds.

What is the worst thing that can happen on a night?

During the Pick time, there is a short circuit, and the electricity drops. The crown gets irritated and leaves, thinking it was your fault! How about that! Haha

What is your most memorable set ?

I am lucky enough to have more than a memorable set. Let’s say my favorite one was the one at EGG in London. When I was living there, EGG was my favorite underground club. After 7 years, I had the opportunity to play there with a great crowd who understands music attending my set. It was very exciting!

Any secret tricks to share?

Keep yourself hangry, keep searching, keep hunting, keep listening, stay passionate.

Random fact about you?

I have a dachshund dog, her name is salami!

Is the DJ scene different post COVID?

In Europe for sure, poor colleagues DJs. In China, not really.

If you could eternally be stuck in one year's music scene, which year would it be?

Although I am in love with underground electronic music, I think one of the best music scenes of all times was during the late ’70s in NY when the studio 54 era began.

What is one subgenre you think doesn't get the attention it deserves?

I think the Berlin techno, house, deep house, organic house and downtempo have not been fully understood yet by the people in China. That’s why we have started first FREELANCE LOVERS and then a new challenging project called MET - Music Ecstatic and Traders, and it’s having great success in Shanghai.

What is one track that never gets old for you?

The man with red face - Mark Knight.

What is one track that got popular that you can't stand?

Despasito

You look so good how do you keep in shape?

Ahaha thanks. Is it a standard question or you mean it? I go to the gym at least 3 times a week. Actually I am shareholder of a gym in Shanghai called RISE.
